New Member Project
When I first started exploring the opportunities available in Toastmasters beyond the CC, it took me months to get my head around all the information and resources out there. I spent hundreds of hours researching the different pathways available, what they offered, the benefits of challenging yourself in new ways. I also realised that I wanted to do my CC award many more times and go through the entire track quite a few times (which I’m working on…)
A couple of by-products were:
1. I started to think globally. I enjoy taking the seed of an idea and expanding it out to see where it can go.
2. I started this blog. There are some things I have been telling many different people over and over again, which tells me that it is useful and valuable advice. So when I realise that, it goes up on the blog.
3. I realised that I want to learn about graphic design, web design and web development…because I want websites for so many different things! (and I want my websites to look pretty)
The next step for me is a project I have been developing since mid-2009. It will focus on new and more effective methods of information delivery for new Toastmasters. So watch this space, as I’m going to use this blog as an information hub and forum opportunity for those interested in putting in their 2 cents worth – at least until I have a website devoted to this project up and running!
